Technical Workshop Report: Exploring Progress and Planning Future Evidence-Based Investments for AYSRH
This report describes a workshop, held May 10-11, 2017, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where youth leaders joined senior ministry of health officials and civil society organizations from the nine Ouagadougou Partnership countries to examine their countries’ Costed Implementation Plans (CIPs) for Family Planning. The country teams sought to understand how their CIPs could better address the needs of adolescents and youth through incorporation of evidence-based practices in adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health. The technical meeting was hosted by E2A and Pathfinder, with the Ouagadougou Partnership Coordination Unit, and was supported by USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Merck/MSD. The youth leaders were prepared for their participation on May 9, during a pre-meeting workshop, described in this report.
