Pre-Meeting Youth Workshop Report: Exploring Progress and Planning Future Evidence-Based Investments for AYSRH

This report describes a workshop for youth leaders from the nine Ouagadougou Partnership countries, held May 9, 2017, in Ouagadougou, which preceded a technical workshop where the youth leaders worked with country teams to examine their countries’ Costed Implementation Plans (CIPs) for Family Planning. The pre-meeting workshop, facilitated by the Torchlight Collective, prepared the young people to deliberate with senior ministry of health officials and civil society during the technical workshop that followed. Country teams sought to understand how their CIPs could better address the needs of adolescents and youth through incorporation of evidence-based practices in adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health. The pre-meeting workshop and technical workshop were hosted by E2A and Pathfinder, with the Ouagadougou Partnership Coordination Unit, and were supported by USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Merck/MSD. The technical meeting is described in this report.
