First webinar led by E2A's community of practice attracts global audience

More than 100 people from Africa, South East Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe participated in the first webinar hosted by our community of practice on October 9, 2013. The community of practice, which is led by E2A in collaboration with the Implementing Best Practices Initiative and ExpandNet, invited Rebecka Lundgren of the Institute for Reproductive Health (IRH) to lead the webinar.

During the webinar, entitled Promising Practices for Scaling Up a Reproductive Health Innovation, Ms. Lundgren presented the systematic approach that IRH applied to scale up use of the Standard Days Method®. Contributions and questions from participants enriched the webinar and encouraged our resource team to plan its next webinar and additional activities for our community of practice.

Those who could not participate in the webinar can access a recording of the presentation here. Playing the video requires you to register via GoToMeeting and to download a small application (a codec) that can be seen when you click the link to the recording. The recording is best run in an Internet Explorer browser and actually begins at minute 7:00, so please fast forward a bit when you start.

Additionally, the short video referenced by Ms. Lundgren during the webinar can be accessed here.

Please share the link to the webinar recording and related attachments with colleagues who are interested in systematic approaches to scaling up family planning/reproductive health (FP/RH) best practices and encourage them to join the community of practice.

Finally, our resource team is planning a series of webinars focused on systematic approaches for scaling up FP/RH best practices: what works, but also what does not work and how to overcome those challenges. We encourage you to consider participating in, or even to explore leading future webinars with us. If you have suggestions for webinar topics, please share them with us, and our resource team will help to organize and facilitate any webinars that align with the goals of the community of practice.

If you are not yet a member and have an interest in learning more about systematic approaches to scaling up FP/RH best practices, please join our community of practice.
