Webinar: Scale Up Learnings from Operationalizing the CHEW Task Sharing Policy in Cross River State, Nigeria

September 25, 2018 - September 25, 2018

On September 25, 2018 the Pathfinder International/the Evidence to Action (E2A) hosted the webinar "Scale Up Learnings from Operationalizing the CHEW Task Sharing Policy in Cross River State, Nigeria" from Pathfinder's Nigeria office.

This webinar shared experiences from Cross River State, Nigeria where a coalition of government and non-governmental actors collaborated to develop and then implement a scale-up strategy to operationalize the CHEW Task-Sharing policy. While scaling-up tools and frameworks have been in use globally for several years, critical gaps remain in understanding how such frameworks can be applied in Nigeria and beyond. The presenters from Cross River State discussed how this 'resource team' of local and state government and NGO actors worked together to implement ExpandNet's systematic nine-step strategy development approach. They described outcomes of using the systematic approach and shared lessons learned in the process of operationalizing the task-shifting policy.

This webinar was moderated by Femi Quaitey of Pathfinder International and speakers included:

  • Mr. Edward Aleje, Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA)
  • Lucy Enakirerhi, State Family Planning Coordinator and Vice Chairperson Scale-Up Resource Team in Cross River State
  • Dr. Okon Useneno Asuquo, Project Coordinator, Medial Comen Association CRS and Assistant Secretary of the Scale-Up Resource Team
