Regina Benevides
Ms. Regina Benevides has 35 years of experience in public health and working with governments in the areas of adolescents and youth sexual and reproductive health, gender, community-based educational and development programs, health provision to underserved groups, and HIV/AIDS. She formerly served as a Senior Youth Advisor for E2A and now serves as E2A’s Director of Service Delivery Strengthening. Previously, in Mozambique she was Chief of Party for USAID/Mozambique’s Associate Award under the Extending Service Delivery project; served as Director of Operations for Pathfinder International Mozambique; and was Senior Technical Advisor for the Geração Biz Program, a national program addressing adolescents and youth sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and AIDS care and treatment, safe motherhood and fatherhood. In Brazil, she worked for the Ministry of Health coordinating the National Program of Humanization of Health Services, and she has vast experience as an institutional analyst in organizational and team work. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she was a Professor in Psychology in Brazil and has published and contributed to academic articles, books, and other relevant publications. Regina has a PhD in Public Health, Health Systems and Services Planning and Management, and a PhD in Psychology.
